Shopify announces update to store points feature
Recently, Shopify updated its store points feature, allowing merchants to directly distribute store points to customers in the Shopify backend. Unlike gift cards or discount codes, store points are the monetary value generated by customers when they consume in a store, directly associated with the recipient and non transferable. It is reported that after logging into the online store with a new customer account, customers can use the store points they have received to offset the amount when making payments.
