Sudan's package of food prices increased by 124% year-on-year
On the 20th, the United Nations World Food Programme released a report on the situation in Sudan, stating that the price of a package of food in Sudan increased by 124% year-on-year and 12% month on month in April. The report also pointed out that the Sudanese pound, the currency of Sudan, has continued to depreciate, with its exchange rate against the US dollar dropping by 88% year-on-year.
