ThyssenKrupp Steel subsidiary lays off 5000 employees
Recently, ThyssenKrupp's steel subsidiary announced plans to cut or outsource 11000 jobs by 2030 in response to billions of euros in losses caused by global steel surplus and rising energy prices. The company's board of directors proposes to lay off 5000 employees and transfer 6000 positions to external service providers, with the goal of reducing personnel costs by an average of about 10% in the coming years
