Tupperware closes factories in Belgium and Portugal
Recently, the American company Tupperware decided to close its production bases in Alsta, Belgium and Portugal, resulting in approximately 500 employees facing unemployment. It is reported that in October 2024, Tupperware has been taken over by creditors. Although it has not officially declared bankruptcy, the new owners plan to close these two factories, including the Belgian factory with 270 employees and the Portuguese factory with about 200 employees.
