U.S. Imports Will Exceed 2 Million TEUs For Seven Consecutive Months

According to the Global Port Tracker Report released by the National Retail Federation (NRF) and Hackett Associates, the monthly inbound cargo volume at major container ports in the United States will reach the highest level in nearly two years. Ben Hackett, founder of Hackett Associates, said the growth is expected to continue for more than seven months, with import levels consistently above 2 million TEUs, partly due to changes in the traditional shipping season.
