UK CPI increased by 3.2% year-on-year in March, but fell back
According to data released by the UK Office for National Statistics, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in March increased by 3.2% compared to the same period last year, down from 3.4% in February. The data also shows that the UK labor market has significantly cooled, with the UK unemployment rate reaching 4.2% in February, exceeding market expectations of 4.0% and 3.9% last month.
