There are many types of water skis (professional water skis), and each type of ski represents a type of water ski. Nowadays, jumping skis, slalom skis, figure skis, wake skis, kneeling boards, etc. are commonly used. Here is a brief introduction to the above main skid types:
Jump sled: Jump sled is a type of sled used by water skiers for jumping water skiing. There are two skis, one for each foot of the water skier. Each ski is specially designed according to the height and weight of the water skier. It is usually 200 cm-230 cm long and about 25 cm wide. The foot cover is fixed in the middle of the board. The front end of the latest jumping ski is tilted about 50 cm to increase the lift of the water ski in the air, thereby helping the water skier to increase the jumping distance. The tail of the board body is equipped with a tail fin. The design of the jumping ski facilitates the acceleration and stability of the water skier on the surface and in the air. Therefore, many beginners use jumping skis to practice starting slips.
Wake sled: The wake sled is designed on the basis of a pattern sled. But its length is generally about 130 cm, and its width is about 40 cm. Both ends of the board are curved. A tail fin is installed at the lower part of both ends of the board. The foot cover is installed at the center of the upper end of the board and is divided into a left foot cover and a right foot cover. The wakeboard design is convenient for water skiers to use the wake to achieve a high altitude in order to make a series of difficult movements such as turns and somersaults.
Kneeling board: Kneeling board is a skid type in which people kneel on a board for water skiing. It is shaped like a small boat. There are two grooves on the upper surface of the board. Water skiers can kneel on it. The lower end of the board is equipped with a tail fin to control the direction.
