Canada plans to raise tariffs on Chinese produced electric cars
Recently, Canadian Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, Wu Fengyi, stated in a telephone interview that Canada is considering whether to increase tariffs on electric vehicles made in China. Currently, Canada imposes a small tariff of approximately 6% on Chinese cars. Wu Fengyi said that the Canadian government is discussing policies with US officials, "we are definitely considering this issue."
