After decades of research and development, the artificial floating island technology at home and abroad has been greatly improved. However, due to various reasons, the artificial floating island technology is still in the test and demonstration stage, and there are some problems and deficiencies in its use:
1. Standardization is not easy to promote
Application of different lakes and rivers has different levels of eutrophication, water flow, temperature, wind speed, water body fluctuations, etc., which require corresponding floating island design combinations and matching of floating island plant species, and it is difficult to develop a unified standard for promotion application.
2. It is difficult to implement mechanized operation.
The ecological floating island floats on the water, and daily management is completed on the water. At present, most of its management operations are completed manually. The management and maintenance costs are high. It is acceptable in small-scale test demonstrations. If large-scale promotion is required, frequent and timely Harvesting, manual operation cannot meet the needs and restrict its development.
3. Long production and construction period.
From the current point of view, most of the ecological floating islands adopt on-site production and on-site planting, and the large-scale production and construction period is long.
4. It is difficult to spend winter.
Most of the plants on artificial floating islands cannot survive the winter and need to be replanted in the spring of the second year. Especially in the colder winter, the plants on the ecological floating islands in northern my country cannot survive at all.
5. It is difficult to resist storms and waves.
The existing ecological floating islands mostly use large aquatic plants and aquatic vegetables, which are difficult to withstand extreme winds, rains and waves.
6. The scope of application is limited.
At present, the single ecological floating islands used at home and abroad have a small area, and most of them are used in small areas of rivers and lakes. It is difficult to carry out ecological restoration of larger rivers and lakes. Now a large area of artificial floating islands are needed.
