New Zealand announces visa free transit for Chinese citizens
Recently, the New Zealand government website announced that starting from November 2025, New Zealand will implement a visa free entry policy for Chinese citizens holding valid Australian tourist, work, student, or family visas. The announcement states that these Chinese citizens only need to apply for New Zealand electronic travel permits and do not need to apply for visas to stay in New Zealand for up to 3 months, but the new policy does not apply to passengers transiting through Australia.
