Retail sales in the UK decreased by 3.2% month on month in December
Recently, the UK Office for National Statistics released the latest data, stating that retail sales in the UK decreased by 3.2% month on month after quarter adjustment in December, marking the largest decline in nearly three years and far below market expectations of a 0.5% month on month decline. The previous value was a 1.3% month on month increase. The UK Office for National Statistics has stated that retail sales may lead to a 0.04 percentage point decrease in UK economic output in the fourth quarter.
